who’s the firework now?

I got so bored in the second half I thought I would fall asleep, but I think I’m just tired of retellings of this story

i don’t want one giant long ass page i have to scroll through, and maybe the bbc shouldn’t be pursuing “most time spend scrolling the app” as their product goals

now i need to subscribe to different topics to see the articles from them in “my news” and to make sure you spend more time looking for what you want they removed the ability to quickly look through topics

The composable censorship model definitely has its own problems - I’ve seen instances of people misrepresenting the contents of their blocklists, which feels like a difficult problem to solve if people are trigger-happy about subscribing.

Well they’re always going to need to censor illegal content, e.g.

But to the original point, I think it’s hard to make people care about abstract censorship that isn’t affecting their experience when for many of them the stronger censorship was a large part of the reason they came here.

What do you feel, specifically, is being censored that shouldn’t be?
