that’s pretty weird
Again, I did not make that claim. The juxtaposition remains even with the info you presented.

But since you brought it up, an AI telling you where to look, reduces the chances of you considering things it does not point you to, and in many contexts that could be considered taking away choice.

Did I say that AI is entirely useless in every situation, always no matter what?

You chiming to say “but actually AI can be valuable for x application” completely ignores the context in which I brought up the ad for an AI service, and why it was a jarring to see at the end of the video.

both you and the other reply are astonishingly ironic examples of context collapse, which was discussed at length in the video that this thread is about.

Very good video Alec. The final line of “I want to think for myself, I think you should too.” was only amplified by the ad I was served after the cut:

I cannot emphasize enough how much the dissolution of the federal government would be a world-changing event. However, if there is clear evidence that the Constitution is no longer being upheld, there are no other viable pathways to maintain democratic governance for all Americans.

In short: If the executive branch can disregard judicial authority, the U.S. Constitution is nullified and the federal government has no legitimacy. This obligates states to support citizens in rejecting federal orders and defending them against federal retaliation. 7/

States would need to provide legal protections for those who resist, ensuring no penalties for non-compliance, including military defense if necessary. With a blanket rejection of federal authority, state governments would be empowered to uphold constitutional principles independently. 6/
February 12, 2025 at 12:06 AM
With their own constitutions and legal systems, states become obligated to step in and uphold constitutional governance independently. States would be obligated to encourage individuals to outright reject all federal actions. 5/
February 12, 2025 at 12:05 AM
By abandoning constitutional constraints, the federal government forfeits its claim to power, leaving states and individuals with no duty to recognize its authority. 4/
February 12, 2025 at 12:04 AM
When executive action cannot be challenged by the judiciary, the federal government is no longer operating under the Constitution, rendering its legitimacy void. 3/
February 12, 2025 at 12:03 AM
Under such conditions, the judicial branch has no power to prevent absolute executive control, and the rule of law ceases to exist. 2/
