Probably not a guideline for that specific danger. When I had my laser eye surgery they did tell me no hot tubbing for a month in case a tiny splash might get me. Tear gas is much more dangerous than hot tub water, I’d guess.

Morning carrots? I have a dog who started getting sick after having too many carrots on an empty stomach. She used to handle it fine but until I figured it out had daily vomits and tummy upset. If they have appetite and activity I’d guess eaten something not illness. Best wishes for calm tummies.

Ouch and embarrassing! For me, the trouble comes from the fact my “going to town” shoes are chosen for looks and not for handling slippery leaves.

They are 10 and 5 now and if money wasn’t limited, I’d be scouting for a third who would be a good fit. Ah to win a lottery I never play just to comfortably afford three dogs!

The last two pairs of dogs, when the older one passed the younger remaining dog did not do well. Not eating, separation anxiety etc. We ran out and got another rescue dog to help but then we are left choosing among the available and did not get a best match.

I think dogs do better with a dog buddy. But pet parenting has become so expensive.

He’ll meet his magic hamburger one day but we are still stuck in a country with citizens who think he and what he is doing is fine. How can you stay in a country where 50% chance that the next white person you meet approves of this dumpster fire? The societal misogyny and racial hate is painful.

I’ve been thinking about your piece on American women wanting to leave the country. You put it down to their dissatisfaction with elected leadership, and I am sure it is. But also, it is so demoralizing that he was re-elected.

At the beginning of rainy season one of my dogs refuses to go out the back door because it is raining but runs to the side door in hopes it’s not raining out that one! Goofball!

I had a dog who would bark at the door to make her sister run to check it out. Then the barker would run to get the good spot on the couch. Clever schemers!

Even if they both had stuffies, there’s only one good one at a time! Love to see dog siblings being ornery with each other.
