A very welcome ruling in Northern Ireland - supporting that basic right of freedom of/from religion. The state - and state schools - should not teach a religion as truth or push it on children.

To put it simply, the entire RE curriculum – currently written by the four largest denominational churches and quite literally starts with ‘The Revelation of God’ – will have to be re-written. A huge victory for our campaign, and for the rights of children. www.nytimes.com/2025/11/19/w...

Our Northern Ireland Humanists Coordinator was asked on BBC Radio Ulster 'But how does education in Northern Ireland amount to indoctrination?'

Boyd's response was fantastic. The RE Curriculum starting with Module 1: The Revelation of God' is a dead giveaway, too. Please do listen to the interview.
• RE is written by the 4 main churches

• That content literally starts with 'THE REVELATION OF GOD'

• Christianity is taught as fact.

• ALL NI schools are Christian schools
