@npr.org NPR ceased to have relevance once they embraced both-siderism and gave the republican talking heads free reign. What does pre-k, childcare, etc. matter if we don't have art, science, education, clean air and water, and civil rights? Who in their right mind would bring a child into this?

Isn't this just a paper tiger? The (show) bill just gives Trump "permission" to place sanctions. Something he already claims to have the power to do. What is this other than performative outrage?

Sadly for all the hype, the bill does not implement any sanctions. It just "gives trump permission" to implement them. Something he has claimed to have the ability to do all along.

Article 5 is NATO. If NATO is not going to respond to an attack then it should dissolve now and save everyone some $. Donbas was attacked because no one stood up to Crimea, Ukraine was attacked because no one stood up to Donbas. Greenland will be attacked if the only consequence is disapproval.

I have heard that there are these apps called ad blockers and that people who use them never see ads or commercials. I have heard that people who use them haven't seen ads for years. Is this some kind of author responsibility thing? You have to watch ads to support platforms since you are an author?

Closing the skies and putting boots on the ground is what would really help. Putin would retreat in the face of actual force.
