This week, I wrote 6536 words on my WIP.
I did take Christmas and Christmas Eve off, but I was too focused on hot cocoa and family to write!

This brings me to 21k words total for the month and 27k total! :)

Hit my December word goal of 25k words for my draft! Still 4 days left in the month to push past it :)

Finished 'Sheepdogs' by E. Ackerman. 10/10, very fun read with a good cast of misfits. Really enjoying my little Ackerman binge.

Finished “Waiting for Eden” by E. Ackerman.

Wow. Lots of feelings, almost the same feeling as a “Short Stay in Hell” by S. Peck. Lots of emotions, especially with some stuff I’ve gone through surrounding grief. Not sure I’d read again, but it will stick with me. 10/10

2 books I finished today: the Devils by J. Abercrombie and the Day of the Jackal by F. Forsythe.

The Devils - 9/10, funny with lots of cool moments. Middle act felt a little repetitive.

The Day of the Jackal - 7/10, really good thriller but a bit dated now.

Me: (working on novel)

Brain: Hey, got a great idea for a novel. Not this novel.

Me: (typing) Not now, brain.

Brain: Don't you wanna know what it is?

Me: NOT NOW, BRAIN

Brain: I'm not gonna lie, it's SUPER cool

Me: LET ME FINISH THE NOVEL IN FRONT OF ME, BRAIN

Brain: Okay, I'm gonna tell you

Finally done with all of my finals! Now time to focus solely on my WIP for a while!

Every creative knows that the ideas are by far the easiest part of the process. I have notebooks full of ideas, more than I can ever turn into stories in my lifetime, and I get new ones every day. AI will just stunt your ability to have new ideas as you let it serve you remixes of stolen ones.

12,000 words into the first draft! Getting super close to my December goal of 15,000
