This talk about hospital CEOs (or head teachers) being "sacked", as if they deserve punishment, is unhelpful. Everyone comes to work wanting to do a good job, but organisations sometimes promote people into jobs which are too big for them. They should swiftly, quietly, be found a smaller role.
