On an iPhone? There’s a switch buried in the settings that I think does that!

For me (iOS 18) it was at settings -> general -> autofill & passwords

I’ve kind of avoided designing in swipes on the web, for this reason. The times I’ve tried it:
* it was too easy to trigger mobile Safari’s back/forward
* desktop windows folks without the Mac trackpad didn’t naturally scroll side to side
* or it was a horrible, unpredictable UX when they did
