previously I would end up wasting hours because my mindset was more like "it's already 4am, I need to try to go to sleep" despite not actually being tired, which meant that I wouldn't try to do productive tasks, even if I had plenty of time to get them done, because I wasn't "supposed" to be awake

overall I think the mindset shift has allowed me to reclaim late night hours as times I can be productive and not feel guilty about being awake. I regularly find myself thinking something along the lines of "well it's only 4am right now, I can probably get that done before I go to sleep"

another interesting one is that I've found that I have a new burst of energy as the sun comes up, despite this being closer to when I go to sleep than it is to when I wake up, and I'm curious to see if this would continue if my schedule keeps shifting later and later

first of all, days have become incredibly nebulous. about 22 hours ago I went grocery shopping, but to me that still feels like this morning? I slept for about 8 hours from around 11:30am to 7:30pm, but I have nearly no memory of it, and it did not mentally split my day the way sleep usually would

my favorite part of NCIS is the part of every episode where they justify why it's within their jurisdiction and half the time it's just like "a navy officer once bumped into the victim at the grocery store"

whenever I get too drunk I will send people typo'd messages on purpose because my drunk brain thinks it is very funny. so one time playing a game, the other team was not convinced I was drunk because one message would say "ytou sucksat tghis gamse" and the next would say "did I type that correctly?"

"I can build a better version of this!" is the kind of hubris that has destroyed empires
