I genuinely don’t know if UA functionality can be recreated with current cookie restrictions… Unless you’re a developer building products in the space, it’s a much more productive conversation to talk about the best apps for various needs today.

Local social media can be charming.

I hate to admit it, but Facebook was enjoyable when it was just people in my local community sharing random stuff. Twitter was my global connection.

I think GA4 gets too much hate because change is hard. Yet it was a necessary change. With the changes to cookies and user behavior it was needed.

Additionally, I think the data quality is a lot better. When I compare against UA data I think UA data had a lot of fluff.

Also, I’m not sure I can justify how much money I just spent on it. I’m sure I can solve some problems around the house and make some toys for my kids… but I could solve a lot of problems and bring a lot of joy to my kids for the total cost of ownership. 😬
