I was reading my cringy old comics from when I was 15 and realized I keep writing "Please believe me, I'm not like this on purpose. I just want to be normal." in different variations over and over.

Sometimes I tend to forget that I'm actually kinda tan by East Asian standards (at least when people aren't making weird remarks about that) so colour me surprised when I went to buy lipstick for my convocation and ended up having to buy the darkest shades to not look anaemic.

I seriously don't know if I should seek professional help or not. For one, I'll have to do it in secret, with my own money as it would turn my parents into social pariahs. And also I've had negative experiences with counsellors before so every time I need to open up I worry that it'll happen again.

The original version of the story was something I came up when I was 8-9, about a girl with a ghost mother. In 2019, following the death of a few loved ones and some family accidents, I conceptualised-

Bonus, here's a cover from back in early 2020 when the story was called "Harder Than Death" and was more about the stigma against mental illness than the lived consequences of trauma. Qiu Feng was the main character back then.

I would actually be less skeeved if it were an actual NSFW artist but they're usually not??
