First tree with ornaments since my menace of a cat joined the family 8 years ago. This shelf was high enough to keep him from a 1-foot tree last year so I upgraded to a nearly 3-foot one. 🤞🏻

In the alter and all around depending on the church. This one in Otranto, Italy has a few hundred skulls of martyrs in a side chapel.

That is pretty cool. My favorite mug from Malia Landis was shattered by my cat & now only holds pens. A tall mug by One Eyed Cat Crafts has been serving in its place.

My targeted ads have weird ideas about me. I don’t think I know anyone who needs these. Especially not the $775 pin that looks like something I made in Brownie Scout day camp at age 8. (It’s even the right colors!)

Made an apple pie with Granny Smiths but just got a bag of Kickapoo Spice apples from Gays Mills so may need to try them in another pie.

It’s officially autumn! I hit up an orchard with people this weekend and it was nice if still humid.

World’s on fire but I went brunching & thrifting with about a dozen awesome people today because getting out of a wallow is healthy. Behold my 99-cent prize: a rice bowl featuring my favorite Sanrio character.

Quetzalcoatlus. Because it’s fun to say. But as a kid, stegosaurus.
A life size stegosaurus model from the Milwaukee Public Museum. It is a dinosaur with two rows of alternating plates standing up along its spine. The model was originally from the 1964-1965 New York World’s Fair.

But that seal, complete with badger, is on every doorknob inside and outside the WI State Capitol.
