Icelandic project manager working in the Japanese games industry. My opinions are my own. Lover of movies and games. And beer. A cat is fine, too.
Accidentally checking out NHK Educational late at night was how I found out my friend from university has a regular show with my ex-girlfriend's celebrity rush where she teaches useful English phrases for overseas travels.

Hot take um fyrirtækjaleikskóla og íslenska leikskólakerfið.

1) Það er gott að fyrirtæki séu að bjarga starfsmönnum sínum þegar ríkið hefur brugðist þeim.
2) Það á að endurskipuleggja leikskólakerfið svo fyrstu 3 árin séu "dagvist" og að frá 3ja ári sé það "menntun."

Kennari og bæjarfulltrúi í Garðabæ segir að áform fyrirtækja á borð við Alvotech og Arion banka að koma á fót leikskólum og dagvistunarúrræðum á höfuðborgarsvæðinu séu til þess fallin að innleiða mism...

Seeing bnds like #Finntroll and #Metsatöll perform at a venue with a capacity of 200 takes me back to the tile I saw Amon Amarth at Tónlistarþróunarmiðstöðin when I was in high school. Very cool.

I saw a dream where a Sony Sompo salesman was trying to sell me a robbery insurance. The promo material showed a family getting robbed and then moving into a penthouse after getting the insurance money.

Success! I started reading again as a hobby late September this year and set a goal of finishing at least 3 books a month. So far, so good, but my current reading list has quite long books so I'm not sure if I can keep the momentum.

Still aiming for at least 25 books next year!!

I'm normally not a big fan of Japanese movies, but Godzilla -1.0 is a 9/10.

Great cast, great story, great music, amazing VFX. Some cliché story beats that can be forgiven.

And it completely decimated me emotionally.

Missed two days of commute last week, so I didn't get as much reading time as I wanted, but I finally finished Andy Weir's The Martian. It was a very good read read after the doom and gloom of Death's End and Solaris.

It gets my seal of approval!

Late last month I started reading books on my commute and during other downtime instead of browsing reddit, and in this time I have:

- Finished Rise of Endymion (took 4 years)
- Finished reading Three Body Problem and The Dark Forest
- On track to finish Death's End next week

I've been playing a bit of Metal Hellsinger and I regret I didn't try it out sooner. What a banger of a game!

I'll never forget that time when I was living in Tokyo where this Italian guy said he knew a really good Italian place and took a group of us down the street and we ended up at Saizeriya.
