My brain can't work that fast on the trampoline but I did try doing my tuck, star and straddle jumps without the rebound. Had to really focus on the straddle jumps but it was a good challenge and something to build on.

Secondly. Working on headstand balance by myself in quiet room really got me noticing & focusing on which muscles I was using to (try to) balance. I loved the challenge of it and felt I was learning something too 😊 And of course no need to wait until next week's gymnastics session to do it again 😊

Well that was interesting on two fronts... Firstly 'adult brain' kicked in with new location... Funny .. any outside wall in fine weather not a problem... Always done it... But new indoor wall in small room ... Took a bit of convincing my brain 😉

I know I can do some without rebound but I'd been going for the easy option! I'll give it a go... But just heard that tonight's session isn't running... after I've had to miss two 😭... I'll work at home on strength and flexibility and see if I can creatively use the home environment for something!🤸‍♀️

Love the straddle jumps. I enjoy doing those too... But I bounce in between 🙊... Maybe I should try working on that. My brain might need to work faster for rebounds in general though!

Turns out I CAN push up to this 'forearm stand'...🙂🙃🙂🎉🎉.
It was one of those nights when I tasted success, washed away the self doubt and just really enjoyed doing gymnastics!
Also pushed up a bridge and did a good bridge kickback practice from lower than I have for months 🤸‍♀️💪🎉 #geriatricgymnastics

In the end I told my gym friend about this one and we gave it a bit of a go... Reckon I can improve next time I try it too... Always good to try something new... Even more so when you start off not feeling so great. Thanks for sharing the exercise 🥰

Success for me is when backside doesn't touch the ground on landing, just my feet... However close that is 😁 ... But I can still aim for better landings. 😊

We were trying a few at adult gym last night from different heights as well as some very basic strength and bar stuff ... I'm now waiting to see what aches the most today! 😉

Just catching up after being away on holiday... Gymnastics limited to obligatory cartwheels on brief beach visits.
Bridge kick over is a skill I've been trying to hang onto/ get back (I'm borderline and not giving up yet). So enjoyed watching this skill practice 😊
