If people could just stop trying to throw every problem at multimodal models, that would be awesome. Want to read an electric meter? We have segmentation and OCR for that. Or we can train a model on the task specifically. ChatGPT is NOT a good fit. Want to detect objects? THAT EXISTS TOO!

I really want to love BSky, but it feels like you can either be someone by pumping out content and have your posts seen, or you can be nobody by posting occasionally and never be seen.

There seems to be some debate about what the Antikythera Mechanism was used for. I reckon it was probably used for keeping Kytheras away. Clue's in the name.

I want to like bsky, but it seems like you can be "somebody" by posting a lot and get your posts seen, or be "nobody" (even to your friends) and follow a few "somebodies". It doesn't fit the need of groups of real-life friends, and so I can't recommend it to those still enduring Zuckville.
