USAID effectively shuts down today. It was established to make the world a better, safer and more livable place. What it aims to do is get rid of the issues that cause people to immigrate to places like the US. Trump and ICE only attack the symptoms of immigration and not the causes.

Tulsi Gabbard’s character has always been in question. The fact that she has not quit in light of Trump saying she is wrong makes me question her character once again.

I am still sitting here in disbelief that most of the people who actually voted, voted for a guy who claimed on live television in front of a national audience that Haitians were eating our pets. I have to think that in any generation until now such an idiotic statement would have been disqualifying

Since the MAGA right is throwing around articles of impeachment, let’s have someone of the left or center file articles of impeachment against Elon Musk. Granted, he is not subject to those but it would absolutely highlight how he has no authority to do anything he has been doing through DOGE.

Trump & Co. seem to be flooding the media at every opportunity. Curious what would happen if the normal media just stopped covering White House press conference or hosting these MAGA nut jobs on their shows. All they do is lie and spew misinformation and the media laps it up.

So, isn’t it a conflict of interest for any kind of insurance company (life, health, property, casualty, etc.) to be publicly traded? I mean, I don’t think you can split your duty between shareholders and the insured. There is an inherent conflict.
