And "being smart" is a very loaded phrase and pretty much undefined, dependent on a kind of subjective appreciation. That's not what it meant by "knowledge" here.

If you define knowledge as "what you say in a resume that an employer can take into account", then your definition of knowledge includes things you believe under false pretenses, since people can lie on a resume.

That's not really a good example. You are not talking about knowledge, but expertise, and that has nothing to do with the discussion surrounding this book, which is epistemological. Not only that, but an emplpyer doesnt KNOW that you are telling the truth. This is taken on faith.

Experience is not knowledge. Take, for example, somebody that has collected a ton anecdotes and they drive them to conclusions which can be shown as false through other means. Experience is not a knowledge factory. Of course, we must define what knowledge means, even to say its the same as emotion.

Something I notice is that when people read or take in a piece of writing or art from another time they typically dont consider historical context. They read it as if it was made for them. We do that with popular media too, and that's an obstacle to let the old thing speak on its own terms.
