Im Josef and I like to think SW from a colonial perspective. Created a course on SW and modernity 🇵🇷🇵🇸
We are just paying our respects by agreeing with him:

Wow this game is pretty wild

So, we are all impressed by the Oblivion remaster. You know what was a wow moment for me? That I see where Oblivion Gates are because of the demonic lighting in the distance or, to my surprise, pretty close by. Just shows how a graphical thing can transform an experience you had 20 years ago.

Following the tradition of making another character halfway through a game lol Just wanted to play as a medium/heavy armored battlemage. Also, unlike my main, I decided to display the godlike head features.

Is anybody who is playing Avowed getting huge Morrowind vibes out of it? Of course, its very different from Elder Scrolls, but big weird island full of mushrooms, creepy creatures and an empire trying to tame it? Plus hints in the story? Pretty cool. Loving this game and world.

Since Im pretty much a newcomer to Pillars of Eternity, I was kind of overwhelmed what type of character I wanted to be in Avowed. But then I figured the Rings of Power Elrond look would suit me well. Spear and shield for me, and try some diplomacy first.

Medea Benjamin is one of a select group of Americans that gives me hope.

This meme doing the rounds. For the Global South, TPM was believable, because what the Federation did is what Western empires have done to us. In a class a professor told us it was obvious Naboo was like Cuba in the Missile Crisis. Americans would do well to read Star Wars through a colonial lense.

Just read Leonard Peltier received a pardon. That's awesome. Here's a 1977 photo with him and two other political prisoners: Herman Bell from the Panthers and Rafael Cancel Miranda of the Puerto Rican Nationalist Party. All looking like they are gonna drop that salsa/punk crossover album.

I'm really enjoying Skeleton Crew. I knew it was gonna be perfect and original for SW. In a way, its the first episode of The Mandalorian: something new not beholden to checkboxes.

Also, this and Rings of Power convinced me I enjoy things more with weekly episodes.

"The body is like Mary, and each of us, each of us, has a Christ within.”

Happy Holidays everybody from the Caribbean in this Three Kings Day. 13/13

Luke's return completes his journey and shows how divinity and matter are two sides of the same coin: consciousness and the unconscious, the witness and the witnessed, perception and appearance, subject and object.

But the labour pains.

"Who is not in labour? Every creature is." 12/13

Finn’s prevented sacrifice is important, because it was another attempt from the heroes to ground themselves, to make something out of their struggle.

But in comes Luke Skywalker, out the wombs of the earth where he had hidden, giving himself up to death. Now, even death can have purpose. 11/?

Kylo Ren is shown that even as Supreme Leader he is no Vader, too proud of the technological terrors at his disposal.

Luke Skywalker represents the moment divinity is born out of crude matter.

It's also his sacrifice to end all sacrifices, though not possible without even Paige’s or Holdo’s. 10/?

When Luke returns all tasks and purposes are made right. They couldn’t have otherwise.

This seals the all character arcs: Rey goes back to the beginning, lifting rocks, becoming the last Jedi; Poe sees he needs to become the spark; Finn becomes a true rebel, driven by love, not revenge. 9/?

Failure, an expression of the shadow main SW heroes face, can't be superseded by will and desire. Not even death can. Paige and Holdo sacrifice themselves in this chain of sorrow and pain that will end with its own resolution.

For such resolution, the inner Christ needs to be born. 8/?
