Controlled Burn today Southwest of the house near Littlerock, WA. It’s a grass fire, you can tell by the color of the smoke. Now the hills to the west are grey with smoke, there’s no wind to push it out.

After 30 years, I trimmed this Douglas Fir lower branches off of the ground and discovered that the Nootka Roses were still there, but very leggy. This is the second blossom this year.
