I am 100% against this. The popular vote should decide the President. The House is based on population and the Senate provides the same number of Senators by state. POTUS should be popular vote.

It doesn’t have to be divisive, especially not as we are experiencing now. Not long ago we had many different political opinions and we benefitted by collaboration and consensus.

Politics is not divisive…it is because we have not maintained a society where politics can be discussed and ideas exchanged that it seems as if politics is always/must be divisive.
