I try to think back, but I can't remember how I might have gotten any of this information before AI. Did we just stumble around in the dark, accepting that we could never know the subjects of emails, nor their key points, nor the email address that would allow us to write back to the sender and ask?

It just occurred to me that this meeting was meant to demonstrate that military leaders weren't going to stand up to him. They all knew he was lying; they all knew what he was planning was illegal. He was daring them to object, where everyone could see them sitting there, silent.
