The only other issue I ran into, and I’m sure this is a base model only problem, but I found it nearly impossible to recline the seat, instead of a seat recline lever, the car instead had a knob to crack and slowly lean the seat back. I gave up on reclining to take a nap.

A few less than optimal features, when driving I like to be able to rest my right arm on my knee to support my arm on the steering wheel, but I found the driver foot wheel to narrow to get positioned comfortably. The center console was always in the way.

Answer: The way oil is extracted isn’t what matters, it’s what it’s used for, the average car emits 4.6 tons of CO2 a year. Making a lithium battery for a car causes about 16 tons of CO2 emissions, so as long as the car is driven at least 3.5 years, then YES IT IS BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT!

This is Shell’s map of their own chargers, but please note, the majority of them are NOT actually at Shell Stations. Anyone know of a map that lets you filter the convenience stores only?

This map shows charging stations with Restroom access, still includes a lot of grocery stores, WalMarts, Hotels, etc. What’s with the lack of infrastructure in the 5th, 2nd, and 3rd Wards? Hmm is this a map of institutional racism? Nah, never mind.

Every charger on the map is at a hotel, retail store, dealership, or apartment complex. Not a single charger at a gas station where an EV driver could buy a snack or use the restroom while charging. Has to get better. (There are more chargers not on this map, but you need a NASA ID to get to them.)

This is Conroe. My Home. Over 100k residents, between all charging stations, a total of 20 ports. Many are at dealerships and accessible only when they’re open, and never without salespeople bothering you. The one Tesla charger is at the community airport. But, props to La Quinta for having 4 ports.
