“Championing collaboration between residents and housing providers | Advocating for fairness, transparency, and sustainable solutions in the UK housing sector | Building bridges for better communities.”
Almost 2,000 views — and rising.

The Regulator’s verdict on #GreenSquareAccord has clearly hit a nerve. From the messages I’ve had, many agree but don’t feel safe saying it publicly — which says everything about the culture.

#GreenSquareAccord are holding a “resident surgery”:

You shouldn't need a booked slot to meet your housing officer — you should know them.

Most residents are at work. If everyone turned up, they couldn’t see them anyway.

This isn’t engagement. It’s PR to tick a box.

Not all here to agree — some just to see what’s said next. But people are watching the housing sector.

This isn’t about popularity.
It’s about visibility.
Accountability.
Truth.

Thanks to everyone who’s engaged, shared, or challenged.

#SteveHayes, #GreenSquareAccord Communications Director, tried to take down resident voices on YouTube under the banner of “privacy.”

The result? More traffic, more exposure, and more questions. Hayes now looks to be defending his own image rather than the organisation’s

#SteveHayes again proving he knows very little when it comes to reputation management and privacy laws! #GreenSquareAccord #RuthCooke

We’ve brought all of our This Is the GSA Way videos together in one place to better support residents who need to raise concerns — and to remind everyone you’re not alone.

Housing Sector Special: You’re Sacked!

Amber and her neighbours were being overcharged — so they sacked their managing agent and took control.

The podcast every resident should watch — and the sector won’t want you to.

Still no response from #GreenSquareAccord

I requested fire safety info on 25 June under the Fire Safety (England) Regs 2022. They had 7 working days. It’s now overdue — and illegal. Residents deserve answers. Not silence.

I’m recording four podcasts this week — because tenant voices matter.

Not the corporate spin. Not the stage-managed “engagement.”
Real tenants. Real groups. Real talk.

While the echo chamber interviews itself tomorrow, we’re releasing Housing Sector Podcast #37 — a real conversation about failure, truth, and the cost of inaction.

Steve Day joins me to talk building safety

Ruth Cooke’s podcast appearance feels less like transparency—more like damage control. Is this about residents, or Ruth’s reputation… and the NHF trying to save face? We break it down—using GSA’s own data.

Everyone’s back in the office filing expense claims — costs that trickle down to residents. Was #CIHBrighton2025 really worth it?

CIH made £2m+ from corporate partnerships. Over 25% from events — not counting tickets or fees.

Are we funding reform or just another echo chamber?

Former Housing Minister Eddie Hughes, is back—this time as a “consultant” to the housing sector.

But instead of listening to residents he’s recycling tired rhetoric and old reports, backed by the same echo chamber desperate to profit from not-for-profit housing.

@matthewpennycookmp.bsky.social MP confirms @teamlabouruk.bsky.social won’t cap service charges. That’s a big deal for the people stuck in leasehold and shared ownership — already hit with spiralling costs and no protection.

The Housing Sector is a one-man band, and the band is going on tour!

No teams of experts—just me, navigating truths, half-truths, rumours, and the ups and downs of a sector that's either winning or bust.
