While we heard a lot of proposals, we didn’t hear anything about property taxes, housing costs, vouchers and other important issues.

California’s rent control system is more transparent than New York’s, allowing landlords to communicate government-imposed cost increases (like property taxes or water rates) directly to renters. In contrast, New York’s system hides these costs, and the NYC RGB often ignores these factors. Watch:
