It's great news for Berkeley but I think the bigger and more meaningful news is that despite a kind of hot December violent crime wise, Oakland is at like 66 homicides currently. Got 5 days left for more knuckleheads but pretty certain Oakland winds up with a year it hasn't seen since 1999:

$1.87 per 100 miles difference in CA per their model if you own a hybrid. I drive about 5,000 miles a year. So just under $100 a year savings in CA if I'm following it correctly. $400 if standard gas vs home charge. 🙄
