Like usually it’s the other way around. Every other country implements some policy and then we come in years later with 20 blueprints on how to do it properly and then we still mess it up

Makes me wonder what’s going through someone’s head once that transition starts. Do they know that this is it? Are they even really capable of processing something like that or does everything just go quiet?

My grandma has been in hospice for a couple months now and her decline has been very slow up until today when she just closed her eyes and stopped responding coherently.

It’s kinda wild how quickly the switch gets flipped from “being in hospice” to “actively and imminently dying”. My dad accepted hospice care, got transferred home from the hospital and was actively dying the next day and passed away 5 days later
