guangyuan overall thoughts: as a show it's very sincere and captivating, with strikingly obvious strengths and weaknesses both. as an adaptation it's a simplified and idealised version of modu, with several strokes of adaptation genius. modu suits my tastes more but gy is definitely worth the watch!
dragged my feet on the finale becuz i didnt want the show to end but i finally watched it! truly been a while since i watched a show that's spread out over MONTHS and on a weekly schedule; this has been a wild ride lmao
