And so many farmers use plastic sheeting to kill back weeds when preparing for the growing season. Some even cut holed in plastic sheeting and plant directly into that! There must be some amount of plastic leeching into the soil from these practices, especially as UV breaks it down

It's clear he knows what the right thing to do is, but no, I don't think he ultimately has the backbone. The fear of going up against Trump and incurring the damage that Musk's money can buy is just too much him, I'm afraid. I hope I'm proven wrong.
