Agree! And I used to be a journalist! Media became the victim of a dangerous both-sidism (doesn't work when one side is fanatical or blatantly lies), covered the horse race not the issues (idealizing winners no matter how they got there) & eschewed ethical judgements (wrongly equated it with bias).

Love you. But you were so played. Republicans would NEVER have allowed a clean vote and Thune has now shown himself to be an untrustworthy liar. So now what? We have a month. We want an action plan.

I get why MAGA falls for it. But I’m baffled why so much of the media falls for it or at least treats it like “real” news with no context

It’s outrageous that this seat has been vacant since March because Gov Abbott refused to hold a special election until Nov. Now he appears to be stalling again, still not naming a date for the runoff between the 2 winning Democrats in order to deprive the House of an additional blue seat.
