Baked up some little puff pastries tonight

The morning after the first snowfall is a magical time
A clear cold morning, sky with trees, silhouette at the bottom and left. Enlarged light up colored Christmas bulbs on steaks sitting in a snowy yard. Each is dusted with a light layer of snow on top. December 1st. We all know what that means…

The first song in the playlist is the single version of Last Christmas. They’re over 100 songs on the playlist so the chance of getting whammed by any song is less than one percent. However, if you listen long enough, it will happen.

Well this doesn’t happen every day. Ink ran out mid-sentence. I had initially thought it was just a blockage or dry ball at the point. But alas… truly not sure wether to be sad or proud

But I guess I had. Normally I lose or involuntarily abandon pens long before they ever run out. This is momentous.

During my slow-moving audio journey, my Time Machine slowly rotated backwards and stoped momentarily. For my safety, I remained seated at all times.

Balance is having caramel apple oatmeal for breakfast when you’re making orange Dijon roast pork with mashed potatoes for dinner
A bowl of oatmeal with milk and melted butter on top along with fried pink lady apples. A plate more at home on a holiday than a Sunday night. Roasted pork with an orange Dijon pan sauce, mashed potatoes, onions which were braised with the roast, and apple cider green beans fill the plate. It absolutely tasted as good as it looks.

I’m a firm believer in doing whatever makes you happy. And I’ll never yuck anyone’s yum. But when given a forced choice while dropping a buck or two in our local bakery’s dueling tip jars, I’m always choosing this option

Naked-eye visible aurora tonight

The only appreciable difference between pumpkin spice and chai is pepper and marketing

One is rooibos chai and the other is pumpkin spice rooibos. If you remove the black tea component from Chai so that you’re just considering it as a compound flavor and actually read the ingredients, you find that most of them are the same as in pumpkin spice. While Cardamom is an ingredient that can be present in chai but not generally in pumpkin spice, mostly the difference is just in component ratio so that Chai comes off as spicier and pumpkin spice as warmer.

An (overnight) Song of Ice and Fire
Very bright waning gibbous moon high in the night sky. There are contrails and other cloudy formations around the dark trees in the lower portion. Some stars peek out in the brightened sky. But the main feature is a beautiful halo around the moo. Caused by the moonlight being refracted through ice crystals in the high atmosphere. The size of the halo is always the same. Because physics. First clinging to grass and fallen leaves in a yard. My headlights glistened off this on my way to the gym this morning. It was 27°F. Pre-sunrise clouds behind a tree line. The sky is warm colors of red and orange and yellow. It nearly looks like and explosion. Closeup of the fire-like sunrise behind the trees.

Right day to crack these open
Tube of Pringle-like chips from the good crisp company. They are Halloween themed, named creepy crisps, and are black in color. Despite this they taste like normal chips.
