Happy (American) Thanksgiving! Since the H or H series hasn’t tackled Thanksgiving or Plymouth Colony yet, here’s a non-film social studies recommendation: Beyond Pilgrim Hats and Turkey Hands by Christie & Montgomery. A great read on using holidays to teach citizenship, not crafts.

RIP to Robert Redford. Though many of his history-based films weren’t covered in Hollywood or History (including my fave Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid), his Great Gatsby was and will be the focus of a future article I co-authored in The History Teacher. Happy trails to one of the greats.
