Even now we're paying for all of this junk with extreme predatory interest. ChatGPT is useful for crafting persuasive papers and drafting business expense plans. Suno can crank out solid 10/10 woke bangers if you're smart. Blender kits are iffy. People need to explore LLMs on their own time/racks.
Again I say: how fucking interesting that remote work technology is bad and not worth adopting despite all research pointing to productivity gains, but genAI which offers NOTHING is so important to adopt and force on people who have no use for it despite all the horrible things genAI does

YouTube has a recap? This year has been insane. I've been jacked into everything to feed my ADHD in quadruple time. I'm fast af boi.

Have been a bit Zelda-heavy though. Is it possible to make a LetsPlay enjoyable? I don't have confidence in broadcasting though. Mostly the personality issue.

Micron exiting the consumer market is bad for everything. Those of you that know, the 2nd hand market gets impacted by this as well, which is something many of us rely on for upgrades. The shock will be catastrophic and felt everywhere. It's maybe three more months of normal business then KERCHUNK.

The NAND shortage will be real bad. It will go on for a solid 6 months in waves with highest demand DDR5 and GDDR7 -> DDR4 and GDDR6/GDDR6X -> DDR3 and GDDR5.

There will be hiccups with flash and other controllers but my concern is when it hits 2nd hand markets. I rely on it for flash and GPUs.
The RAM pricing crisis has only just started, Team Group GM warns — says problem will get worse in 2026 as DRAM and NAND prices double in one month
A 16 Gb DDR5 chip already costs $27.

Is that a TRS-80? There was a time when the floppy was LARGE large. Not the 5.25" flimsy thing that loaded FRED on a dumb terminal but a 8" version of it (and worse too). You know that hurts.

Co-CEO? Wow there really isn't any degree of accountability ever. Never give full perms to a bitch.
these comments, in context outside of a fucking popcrave snippet, to me, do not seem at all unreasonable, and seem more responsible than most tech CEO comments i've read in recent years on most topics, though every headline on this is deliberately inflammatory.
Society will accept a death caused by a robotaxi, Waymo co-CEO says
"We don't say 'whether.' We say 'when,'" the executive said.

This is criminal behavior. I could respond to this as a Win/Linux nerd with "XYZ is how to bypass this"...But it's core diabolical anticonsumer practice that needs to be outlawed. I don't buy Wacom products. I get the "out of support" argument but if it worked before, it should continue to work.
this is really annoying man my tablet was purchased new in 2019. I spent 2000 dollars on It and it works perfectly fine. Why should anyone buy an expensive tech product that's going to brick in 6 years

Just as all seemed quiet, I catch extra loud flyby ree over recent Radeon DRIVER UPDATES. Every cringe techtuber is stuck on the support age for these RX5000/6000 series cards. Have you once considered the rapid pace of GPU milestones in the past few years? Sit tf down. This NEEDS a stable branch.

Very cool work. Keep an eye on this one.

Guys? This. More of this. MORE. 💯
Got vertex colors from the ground projecting onto the player to simulate light 🎨

Vertex colors were baked/painted by hand in Blender so there are no Unity lights in this scene aside from a single directional light to cast some subtle shadow on the players arms

That's funny. There was a time when JPs would portal off to a simple lecture world with a center stage for the community equivalent of a VR TED talk. Very powerful. We didn't have good computers so the main courtesy at the door was a △3 model that allowed DOZENS of us to easily sit in together.
