It's been years since I went to the NYU Game Center playtest Thurs, and it's amazing how much it's grown and slicked up.

Open to the public, tables and testers filled the room, and I was happy to see at least a few tabletop games and a very cool, retro radio video game.

My two new kitties, Arlo and Woody, need no costume.

They enjoy exactly one day of popularity out of 365 per year, so I am celebrating with them.

At the #nokings rally in Northville, Michigan, the small town where I grew up, my Dad (age 93) with my husband Chris.

They joined people of all ages, including lots of Boomers and Seniors, to line up along a major road hoisting signs, shining smiles, and hearing honks.

The fourth of four kids, he went to Michigan State University on a ROTC scholarship (thus post-war deployment) and majored in journalism but also had serious baseball chops.

Here he is at a game and reunion of his Big Ten championship team. He played minor league ball, second base, LH hitter.

My 93-year-old Dad plans to go to a #nokings protest because he "wants to be counted."

He helped hold the free, Democratic, Western line in post-war Germany as a young lieutenant.

OCT 14 was the day in 2017 when we set a Guinness World Record for 3,734 Rosies all in one place!

The experience sent me on a local history jaunt to the Willow Run bomber plant, my first air show, the Yankee Air museum, where my Dad recorded an oral history of being stationed in Cold War Germany.

Sportscaster Ray Lane was a baseball buddy of my Dad's at Michigan State in the 1950s, and that cemented a lifelong friendship. In his 90s, shaky but still game, Ray made a huge effort to attend my mother's memorial and gave me a big hug. He showed up at every event he could, gracious, kind. RIP.

FINAL FOUR on Monday.

128, Grazer, is a two-time champ and my personal favorite.

Any bear that can feed cubs over the summer while chonking up enough to give birth in January, in Alaska, and raise those cubs while chonking up again?

But, "Meet the bears" and decide for yourself.

Reporting in a country at war, without the resources of deep pockets of a big media company, is expensive and dangerous work. The brave Counteroffensive team is based in Kyiv. That's Tim, second from right. #ukraine #journalists #journalism

True story: On a road trip over west VA/east TN hills, we stopped atop a mountain in Carter country for peach cobbler, hot dogs, rousing and moving bluegrass. A man sidled up to us to talk, and talk, and talk. This pearl stood out: He built the scaffolding at Woodstock, and is in this documentary.

Here's a hint, one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite creative writers of all time ("The Little Prince").

It's ALL about the imagination, the vision, the THING you are creating.

Creative directors: When your team is playing "yes, ma'am!" instead of "yes and..." because you are playing "no, period!" please think through to end result.

What's a better way to lead a team with a wide range of skills, maturities, personalities, etc? Pixar leads wrote a whole book on that.
