Rail enthusiast (though mostly 70s and 80s), part time volunteer. Also interested in history, environment and some elements of politics....sorry, forgot to say, Baggies fan too.
It is good enough on the whole, but can’t be fully relied on. I don’t doubt it was correct with that list though.

Not a fan of Merlin app, but certainly was right re goldfinches (and probably redpolls) as both like visiting alder.

On the positive side, it is still a poor Aussie team, and a weak batting lineup with a long tail.

Yes. Those were the two large logo ones at that time.

…….I don’t see us as being safe yet!

Doing it the hard way? Still should be only one point!

A home win against that standard of opposition should only be worth a point.

Not sure why there is sympathy. Only 2 league wins from one of the promotion favourites. First game of the season relied on two end of game goals, and bottom of the table at the time Sheff Utd. Fellows, who some think we sorely miss, wasn’t getting much game time under him.

Nice to be proved right for a change .

IMO, Southampton will be first.

Not me.

I don’t like ‘doing politics’, but those figures you are using a misleading by a huge margin. For example, profits aren’t just on food. Clothing sales, Argos sales. In Morrison’s case, ‘one off’ forecourt sales! Look at their annual profits over previous years, and those of Asda.

Certainly adds to the experience, being able to hear trains going up the inclines……which some heritage railways miss out on.

Watercress is definitely one of the best, if not the best, heritage railway for wagon restoration, and making good use of ‘goods trains’. Certainly gives visitors at Alresford added interest when the shunting and formations are done, and tweaked.

That was certainly an unexpected bonus. If it was moved just for display, well done to whoever suggested it.

Point taken. However, the arrow and wording need to highlight the wing bars. At the moment, they are highlighting the olive brown wings, which realistically covers a lot of similar species which people confuse.

IMO, you need to also highlight the wing bars. Otherwise, they will easily be mistaken for willow warblers or chiffchaffs. The latter is ten a penny in gardens these days.
