I’m a family man from the all over America, but I currently live in KY. I love reading, woodworking and playing board games with friends and family.

The markets are in a bubble partly because of worker passive retirement investing. Get everyone to direct those investments into foreign markets for a while. Markets will dip. Make us believe in America again before we invest in it.

The saddest part of this market crash? At any time Congress has the power to stop it by taking back their power to levy tarrifs.

We are supposed to have thee equal branches, and Congress has given its authority to the President by refusing to act in favor of the people instead of their special interest donors. If we want to defeat Trumpism for good, we have to get money out of politics.

Omg I would LOVE to see @aoc.bsky.social chat with all the worse-than-mediocre old white men who govern my Trump-voting county in rural McConnell-country Kentucky!
@aoc.bsky.social: "Listen, if your representative is not doing a town hall, give me a ring... I'll say it right here, right now: if a deep red Republican district wants to have an honest conversation, even if it's with someone they disagree with, I'm willing to do that."

Does anyone else feel that they themselves would rather burn down DC than let us invade Canada? I don’t care how much NATO builds up Canada, we are not going to invade if I have anything to say about it.

They will go after Wikipedia.

They will go after libraries.

They will go after school boards and public extracurricular activities that are anything but sports.

They will go after archives.

Because knowledge, education, culture, and progressives are all the enemy.

Thinking is the enemy.

For no reason at all, I’m wondering if a pardon for attacking the capitol could be used as precedence to pardon a group of people that stormed another federal building. There are so many federal buildings there, it’d be a shame if someone stormed the wrong white building and couldn’t get a pardon….🤣

Remember the lesson we re-learned from Syria recently. Sometimes, when Authoritarians appear at their strongest, they are at their weakest. When enough of the people say “no more” and act, the ones in charge will flee before us. America is stronger than these 🤡s

Sarah is right, we should be talking about Trump pardoning the J6 people, even the violent ones. youtu.be/PQdlWdNVQT8?...

Ignore the theater, no matter how cruel the show. Try to focus on what they’ll actually do. I know it’s hard to know what’s important with so much being thrown at us, but right now we need reason, not outrage. People will need help, and we have to be calm to be aware of opportunities to act.

We have been living through a golden age of propaganda, but things are about to be a lot more in our face about it.

I can’t believe there hasn’t been more of an uproar that our government shut down TikTok. Especially since we all know Zuck paid them to do it just so he could force the sale. Free speech should not be for sale in this country.
TT changed the game when it came to advocacy on social media. That algorithm made it easier than ever to get your message to millions of people, regardless of follower count. Real change in healthcare has happened on several occasions in part because of TikTok. This is a big loss in a lot of ways.

We know it was Zuckerberg who initially bribed our government to ban TikTok. Fuck Zuck! How much did he pay this asshole?
