Part-time storm chaser.
Tornado about 90 mins ago in Creal Springs, IL. Like an idiot, I stayed too long and had to bail when the tornado took a left hook toward me. There is video of that too, but I’ll hold onto that for now.

Will post more media from this day soon—which was also in May of last year. Here is the Greenfield, Iowa tornado as I saw it near Orient, Iowa.

I did something very stupid after getting this view and to this day I chase a little safer because of it.

This ended up being the most productive phase of the Oklahoma chase last may. And yes I had Braum’s for late-night dinner when I got back to Norman.

You can’t get food like this in Indiana.

This was earlier on the Oklahoma high-risk day last year. It was a cell not too far from Enid. Like the high-precip beast that developed to its South, it defied expectations and didn’t produce any solid tornado. But it was fun to watch it spin.

Remembering back to a year ago when I was on this high-precip monster in Oklahoma. Me and every other chaser in the mid-south.

It never produced a tornado of any significance but man was it a sight to see this storm along Oklahoma chase madness—helicopters buzzing overhead and a line of chasers.

NWS Paducah went with the bold decision last night to not warn a persistently rotating QLCS, presumably because they didn’t want to set off sirens in Evansville.

I think the decision may have worked, but I’m still surprised that they just let it roll through Posey County unwarned.
