Just a friendly reminder that “tariff revenues” are really just sales taxes, and are terribly regressive and hurt average Americans far more than the rich because they erode a greater % of their income. Income taxes and AMT are far more equitable ways to accrue revenue for government services.

We shouldn’t hope for low-wage manufacturing jobs to come back to the states. We *should* fund vocational schools and training for workers who have lost jobs because of the (rightful) outsourcing of low-wage manufacturing for our higher-paying service economy. 2/2

2024 was a solid bounce back year from 2023. I had a lot of personal and professional upheaval in both years—more so in 2023–but re-committing to reading was one of the best actions I took in 2024 to center myself and keep my mind healthy. Cheers to a book-filled 2025!
