I basically agree. Episode-wise, Omega's return did feel a bit anticlimactic, but I suppose it ended up not being the *real* climax of the episode anyway. It was cool to see Jodie again as well. Ncuti was a great Doctor and I'm also gutted that he's gone so soon, and so suddenly. Through the part of the episode where it started implying that he would be regenerating, I thought, "Is this a fake-out? It's got to be a fake-out. Ncuti has AT LEAST another season in him." I was thinking more or less until the end of the episode, "He's gotta have a third season! He deserves it!" and when The Time came it evolved into, "Well, if it IS a fake-out, we'll see him at Christmas, and if he's ACTUALLY regenerating, God Damn It, but whoever comes in is going to do a good job too. BILLIE PIPER!?!?!" As a bit of an obituary, I guess from my perspective Ncuti's run kind of hinges a lot on whether or not you can stomach the addition of gods/the supernatural/meta-storytelling, and I personally was in for it, but I do remember thinking as far back as the musical number in The Devil's Chord, "This is going to piss off a LOT of people. I'm having a good time, though." I'm glad his stories took chances and didn't necessarily always go in the direction you thought they might go, and I feel like most of the stories hit pretty well. Even the ones that didn't as much were just sort of Weird and Ehhh in the same way most other Who stories that didn't hit as much were Weird and Ehhh. But, again, Ncuti himself was perfect for the role, did a bang-up job, and without question deserved a third season.

I had to go on Tw*tter to find this but I watched the new Doctor Who episode today and this is still basically my opinion on Doctor Who

The text reads as follows: "I've been (re)watching David Tennant's run of Doctor Who during the 60th [anniversary] and on one hand, the episode Blink gave us 'wibbly wobbly, timey-wimey,' which in hindsight is a bit of a pox on the earth, but it also gave us 'it goes 'ding' when there's stuff,' which is pretty great ... this is kind of Doctor Who's thing as a show though I feel like. at least with NuWho. there's a lot of genuinely great stuff and a lot to love but there's also a ton of Stupid Horseshit. a lot of which can be endearing but much of which is Stupid Horseshit"

I have hired Phil Collins to stare at you
A composite image of Phil Collins circa Both Sides which I'm pretty sure was like 1993. His YouTube channel has been uploading lyric videos and two of them had different halves of what I presume to be the same image of his face, so I spliced them together. It's not perfect, and you can sort of see the line where the two images meet if you look really closely around his chin, but it's fine because it's okay.
