He/him

In no order: engineer, atheist, overconfident in ability to fix anything, loves baking, and loves crafting stuff.

Yes I will come to your party and drink all your lovely beer.
Is it normal to FEEL the urge as a parent to occasionally remind your children that you pulled them out of the void of non-existence especially when they won't clean their room? Not to do so, just to feel the urge to. #ParentThings

guinea pigs: we are literally starving, this is the greatest injustice in the history of the world

Me: I see you have not touched the bulk of the food & hay I left for you a few hours ago

guinea pigs: allow us to sing the song of our people until you add even more food and hay to our amble stores

Still no sunburn from yesterday's beach trip. Yay! Go me!

The longer I am in infrastructure the more fucked I know we all are. Have your own water filtration system, get used to only eating cooked produce, get your own power generation, learn how to get what you need without driving, and be setup to burn your garbage.

First beach trip in my life without sunburn. Knock on wood

Me and my youngest child (she is six) made a basket today. She had a lot of fun pulling the reed out of the bathtub. Given that it is the first basket either one of us has ever made I think we did a decent job. Put avocados in it.

Best $7.90 I have spent in a long time. So much nicer in the hand compared to plastic

Met with a corporate partner today on a project I am running and everything went smoothly. It is amazing how well projects go when everyone just wants it to be successful. Instead of other nom-engineering concerns

Something is causing large billowing steam outside my home. There was a time in my life when weird disasters were interesting instead of common place.

Spent hours working with Verizon technical support today.

All those Christian apologists out there and not one of them has advanced Verizon technical support as an argument for the existence of Satan.

Not a bad day, finished up the schematics for a new system.

Started a new Halloween scarf. Little variation which hopefully makes the black and orange alternating rows stick out more.

My proudest achievement for the day, so far, is finally cleaning out my work emails. Yes, I am aware of how sad that is.

The CEO of where I work brings his dog every day. The dog goes around demanding head scratches, which he gets.

And yet if I did the same thing HR would call a meeting with me.

Totally not fair

Must be allergies or something. I feel like I am hungover today and didn't have a particle of alcohol yesterday. Sorry to complain but there is a special sorta injustice of being hungover without having the fun of drinking

Halloween Scarf 95% done, family heirloom blanket 12.5% done.

When mini-attack drones come out I will have an emotional support swarm.

My partner and crime + kids are still away visiting my in-laws. I don't understand how people live alone. It is way too quiet and boring. Welp only 9 more days, can't wait until they get back
