Pretty much all of Europe and Asia have abortion access. Hell, even Saudi Arabia will allow abortions to save the life of the mother. Not to mention 30 states still have full access while another 7 states have limited access. Wtf are they going for here?

Using the phrase "disobey my orders" when the video in question only ever uses the words "illegal orders" seems to imply that he has, or plans to, give illegal orders. Also the "no other interpretation" line is a directive to his allies not to take any other stance or else. What a weeny.

Agreed. This will be a precursor to them gutting section 2 of the VRA which would make it impossible to challenge racial gerrymanders.

And don't think for a second that this isn't a backdoor to bringing back whites-only schools. They'd be more than happy to see all but the richest non-whites reduced to second class citizens again.

More insidiously, Republicans believe only those families able or willing to shell out the cash deserve a decent education. Imagine how much money parents would spend if that was the only way to give your kid a chance at a decent life.

Republicans have been trying to destroy public education for decades. Most of the states with the worst educational outcomes are deep red states who have underfunded public education in an attempt to "prove" public schools are failing.

Not every member of congress is guilty of using their office for self-enrichment, but it will ultimately fall to the American people to abandon their apathy and "all politicians are corrupt" platitudes, and demand elected officials to pass laws targeting political corruption.

It seems evident that there are members of both parties that are guilty of using their positions for self-enrichment, and that's why neither party is able to generate enough support to strengthen anti-corruption and anti-bribery laws to snuff it out.
