So it’s Sept ‘23 and I’ve decided to start with a couple of hobbies. Have invested in some watercolour paints, brushes and paper. But why stop there, I’ve also bought a woodworking bench and some tools.

Probably important to note that it’s not the cars safety build that is the issue but the twats behind the wheel.

So I’ve been realising that my pictures have been pretty flat, light wise, so I’ve had a go at concentrating on getting a feeling of light into them. These were my first 2 attempts at this.

Well it’s been a while, with work and headaches and other annoying life stuff, but have managed to throw a bit more paint on paper.

Early days vs more recent.
Early watercolour painting very basic scene of field with trees in the background. Basic technique. Watercolour landscape painting, lake to the foreground, shore and some trees and mountains with autumn colours. I think the technique has improved but perhaps I’m biased.
