I played this game a bit as a kid but this is the first time I've managed to finish it. It's got some fuckass cheap enemies, and I hate that the "upgraded" attacks mostly just make it easier for them to interrupt you.

I want to love this game, because horror RPGs are something we really need a lot more of. While I do LIKE it, the obvious rift in design between its survival horror elements and RPG elements sometimes makes it hard to really appreciate the overall package.
