I played this game a bit as a kid but this is the first time I've managed to finish it. It's got some fuckass cheap enemies, and I hate that the "upgraded" attacks mostly just make it easier for them to interrupt you.

Well, I have to play it at least once a year now. I mean, it's only one of my favorite games ever. What am I gonna do, NOT play it as much as possible? Doesn't seem likely.

so now I'm just asking for trouble if I don't end up playing 13 Sentinels

I want to love this game, because horror RPGs are something we really need a lot more of. While I do LIKE it, the obvious rift in design between its survival horror elements and RPG elements sometimes makes it hard to really appreciate the overall package.

I played this back when I first got my PS4 and remember really enjoying it, so I decided I was overdue for a replay. It doesn't hold up quite as well as I remember but it's still enjoyable for its brief runtime and the 1960s spy style visuals still look great.

It's a wild ride of ghostly possession and demonic invasion. It mostly plays like a first person shooter, but the possession mechanics (of both living and inanimate things) add some neat puzzle elements. The final bosses (plural) ramp up the difficulty a bit much though.

It's style over substance, and it doesn't have much style either. There's little variety, the upgrade system is bafflingly limited, enemies do ridiculous damage, and the hacking minigames are a huge pain in the ass. I don't know who this was for, but it's not me.
