I haven’t seen any fatalities! There are big groups of them all over. They seem to be prospering just fine 🦃

I saw these last month on Reservoir Road. I hope they have found safe passage.

Helen’s Bridge yesterday with the wildflowers. Like it better when it’s overcast and moody and creepy and rainy, you know, like it’s supposed to be.

My dream for Asheville is for the entire downtown to be car free—just small electric buses on a continuous loop for the tourist and the locals.

I lived in Louisiana when I was young. We used to go to Oakley House sometimes. I learned about the history of the home, the slave quarters, and the architecture. I learned that Audubon lived and painted there.

These homes are important, historically.

One of the guys from AvL Technologies came and set up a satellite when we were waiting in line for water after the hurricane.

In the four days after the storm, that was the only time I was able to communicate with my family. Hundreds of people were able to get online.

Thank you to them.

Went walking with these hardy (and hearty) souls this evening. Reminds me of why I love #Asheville so much. Yes, it’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever lived, but also the people, they’re just so cool.
