I’d been the only person dining in this North LDN Italian restaurant for a while (idk why, it’s lovely). Then an older middle aged white man enters, also dining alone (it’s fine, it’s fine). He orders his food, but has suddenly decided to watch some kind of right wing news VERY loudly on his phone..

I just think that’s so fun that he made a whole rap song about having two phones!!! Like, yes!!! If I was in position to have a ‘work’ phone and and a ‘personal’ phone (or, rather - ‘one for the bitches and one for the dawgs’) I would absolutely feel like a BALLER

Remember years ago when there was that trend where people recited popular songs in the style of Shakespeare monologues - see I never really got that trend - I overthought it, like ‘but do we implement the iambic?!!!’ etc. But now I want it back because I’d like to perform ‘2 Phones’ by Kevin Gates.

One of the first films and characters that I fell in love with as a child, that not only made me want to act but to write and be endlessly curious and fascinated by the world ❤️🩹🕊️ I watched it again a few years ago as an adult and it still holds up.

I am reading ‘Our Evenings’ and loving how much fun Alan Hollinghurst must have had coming up with all these fictional productions… I totally would have queued at 9am for £12 tickets to ‘Space’ at the Almeida in 2016..
