I have no words. Why? I don't recollect even having a PC which had a 3.5" drive running MS-DOS. I swear it had a 5.25" drive. Also. I cannot find disk 1. Better keep them. Just in case.

What's the modern equivalent of a mixtape? And the modern equivalent of the scrap of paper that so often came with a tape (or cd) explaining the why of each song?

Spent hours knitting a school cardigan. It itches. My fault for not yarn checking. It is normal to order sweater quantities of eight more yarns to try again, isn't it? I want my daughter warm and she won't wear the school issue cardigan as the buttons are impossible.

Got told by one of my oldest, most cherished, friends that I look better for a little weight and that I was too skinny in the noughties (having spent most of them thinking I was fat). If only I'd heard this when I was 18. Decades of unhappiness could have been avoided.

When I was 18, a boyfriend told me he liked me best when I weighed 8st 2lbs (51.7kg, 114lbs). I'm 5' 4" (164cm). Cue years of disordered eating and woe when I gained 2lbs. Yesterday (9 st 6lbs, 60kg, 132lbs), I was told "you look better with a little weight. Please don't lose too much". 🥰

I am one of the few people who can forget the existence of Queen Mary's Dolls' house until literally at the entrance to Windsor Castle. It did not disappoint (and is actually better than it was when I was a kid, as it's no longer behind yellow plastic).
