Later in the discussion, he proposes reform. Again, I would argue that expanding access to working class students has been a progressive agenda item for decades. An honest broker would just say he wants affirmative action for "conservatives." The abundance agenda he describes is straight (5/11)

However, Brooks just can't resist falling back on his stock in trade. The reactionaries never would have won over the conservatives if only the liberals had fallen in line with conservative wishes. (3/11)
