I’m a Jewish person who is also an elected official about 15 minutes from Boulder. I echo all of the statements about hate having no home here, of course. The thing is, it clearly does. Until we acknowledge that and figure out how to evict it, it’s going to become more and more embedded.

I imagine that a letter from the USDOT secretary saying they’ll withhold federal hwy $ from towns that don’t remove their DEI policies or agree to cooperate with ICE would have grabbed a headline 3 months ago.

My younger (50) brother lives in a group apt. for profoundly Autistic people. He gets SSDI. His housemate was adopted at 4 y/o from Korea but was made a citizen bc her parents didn't realize they had to do that post-adoption. Her SSDI was just revoked & she may have nowhere to go. How many others?

Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc.

All I wanted was improved infrastructure and bear-proof trash cans.
This is where, prior to the current administration, the town was able to post community info (senior news, announcements, etc) at the post office. Most people don’t get mail delivered, so it’s a community hub. No longer allowed.
