Until World War II broke out, #FDR spent Thanksgiving in Warm Springs, Georgia, sharing the holiday with polio patients — many of them children — at the Warm Springs Foundation he founded. On many occasions, #EleanorRoosevelt joined him. Wishing everyone a warm and meaningful #Thanksgiving!

November 19, 1863: Abraham Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address. Just 272 words, yet it remains one of the most important speeches in American history. Its message endures: a call to honor sacrifice and uphold the promise of freedom and democracy for all. #History #Lincoln #GettysburgAddress

Years ago in #Nashville, someone told me I needed to prove myself to be trusted as a historian. It hurt—but I kept going. I grew, learned, built connections, and found my voice. Grateful for the challenges that shape us and the reminder to keep going if it’s truly your passion. 🎶 #ThankfulThursday

🌟 In 1987, #MarleeMatlin made history. In her first-ever film role, she won the Oscar for "Children of a Lesser God," making her the first Deaf actor to take home the award.
This was a groundbreaking win that gave Deaf stories visibility and proved talent knows no barriers. #Hollywood
