Until World War II broke out, #FDR spent Thanksgiving in Warm Springs, Georgia, sharing the holiday with polio patients — many of them children — at the Warm Springs Foundation he founded. On many occasions, #EleanorRoosevelt joined him. Wishing everyone a warm and meaningful #Thanksgiving!

🌟 In 1987, #MarleeMatlin made history. In her first-ever film role, she won the Oscar for "Children of a Lesser God," making her the first Deaf actor to take home the award.
This was a groundbreaking win that gave Deaf stories visibility and proved talent knows no barriers. #Hollywood
